HISTORY: The Peru Flag, measuring 60 x 90cm. A striking emblem that embodies the rich history, cultural diversity, and national pride of the Republic of Peru. Adopted on February 25, 1825. This flag is a symbol of the country’s hard-fought independence from Spanish rule and its commitment to sovereignty.
The design of the Peru Flag is a tricolour featuring three vertical stripes of equal width. The red stripes on the outer edges represent the struggle by those who fought for Peru’s independence. Symbolising courage and sacrifice. The white stripe in the centre symbolises peace and purity. Reflecting the nation’s aspirations for unity and harmony.
Emblazoned within the white stripe is the national coat of arms. This emblematic design consists of a shield depicting a vicuña. A national animal, standing before a palm tree. The shield is surrounded by a wreath of laurel branches and an upper scroll with the inscription “Republica del Peru” (Republic of Peru). The lower scroll bears the date of Peru’s independence, July 28, 1821.
Crafted from colourfast treated polyester material, the Peru Flag measuring 60 x 90cm. This size makes it suitable for various occasions, including official ceremonies, civic events, and cultural celebrations.
It proudly waves as a symbol of unity, freedom, and the vibrant cultural tapestry that makes Peru a unique and resilient nation.
